Impacts of Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip on the development of Israeli-Palestinian relations

The aim of the thesis is to analyse the impact of the Israeli withdrawal from Gaza in 2005. This work is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. The first part deals with selected issues of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by 2005, such as historical landmarks, especially the first Israeli-Arab war and the Six Day War, the international legal status of Gaza, on which a consensus did not exist and policy of the Jewish settlements. The practical part is specifically dedicated to the process of withdrawal and its impact on Israeli-Palestinian relations, especially on the economic situation and the lives of Palestinians in Gaza. Important attention is paid to the current situation of bilateral relations and the future of the Gaza Strip. The work is supplemented by pictorial documentation, selected UN resolutions and statistical data.
The Role of the European Union in the Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process

The topic of this Bachelor Thesis is a role of the European Union in a conflict betweet the State Israel and the Palestinian Authority. It includes a sketch of a historical activity of European states in the region, but mainly it pursues the actual situation. It brings up a review of both bilateral and multilateral relations between the EU and either the State Israel or the Palestinian Authority. The Thesis also contains an analysis of the most actual events in the region, to whom also a question of Arab revolutions in 2011 is included. In the final part a possible future outlook is presented and recommendations for the EU's prospective activities are projected.
Activities of the European Union in Palestine

The core of this work is the activity of the European Union in the Palestinian territories, which, however, it is necessary to define it historically and in the politico-geographical sphere. In addition, to understand all the contexts we need a policy towards Palestine fit into the theoretical framework of the foreign and security policy of the EU and other relevant policies. The largest part of this work is devoted to the presence and activities of the European Union in Palestine and subsequent analysis. Initially outlines the historical context of this activity for compare it with the existing forms of humanitarian, despite the economic and trade cooperation, to the respective positions of representatives of the European Union and its members to declare autonomy. However, it is necessary to generalize this work in the context of the common security and foreign policy of the European Union. The aim of this thesis is an analysis and assessment of involvement its results.
